Documentary, in progress

The same light-first, story-second approach behind the photography carries over into the film work — small crew, real locations, and a preference for a found moment over a staged one. The first short documentary piece is currently in production.

Behind the scenes

Documentary instincts show up in the photography work too — the studio sessions are often shot and filmed side by side, with a second camera and a monitor running behind the main shot to capture how the session actually comes together.
